1. Log in to SpringBoard (same account as before)
2. Read through the introduction to Activity 3.2, then answer Question #1
3. Review through information about Effective Communication and MARK THE TEXT for significant ideas that will help you stay focused and communicating effectively in your small group.
Work Period:4. With your partner, I'll assign you a letter, A-E. Work through your assigned Quotation about light and darkness. Write an interpretation of the quotation in the table.
5. Take turns sharing interpretations aloud. Jot down notes in the table as other groups present. Practice your listening skills.
6. Preview Groups - Join the other students who previewed the same novel as you. Discuss the details you collected about the novel over the weekend.
7. Pause for a minute and create a new Class Notebook Entry:
CN: 3/7 - Book Preview Notetaking Graphic Organizer
Copy the graphic organizer from #7 in Activity 3.2.
8. Go now to your Literature Circle Discussion Group
- Take turns sharing the details about the novel you previewed.
- As each novel is presented, take notes in your Class Notebook
9. Choose your top 3 choices for Literature Circles
10. Let's see how that pans out...
